Would you Adam and Eve it? This must be the most asked question or variant question ever asked on Yahoo Answers.
Read this slowly: The account of Adam and Eve is not a literal story, simply a morality tale. The bottom line is that whenever humans are faced with a choice of doing right or wrong, they invariably take the easier option of doing wrong. Nothing changes!

God created Adam & Eve (humans) in our Image, as adults & ordained that they would have domination over all other living creatures, God 1st formed Adam from dust on the ground & then breathed into his nostrils the breath of life causing him to become a living soul. He then made Eve from one of Adams ribs to allow him to have a mate of his own species. Ok so Adam & Eve didnt have childhoods because they were never meant to reproduce but upon eating the forbidden fruit there eyes were opened to these possibilities & upon being thrown out of Eden, they were free to explore these possibilities & went on to have children. Not sure if this will answer your question.

They didn't have a childhood cos God made them in adult form, some people may say they are fictional characters but that is a matter of choice on peoples beliefs. For those who believe in God and are Christians , it is believed that Adam and Eve were created to start the human race.....Now think of this if they were created as children, they would have needed adults to raise and take care of them, if they had adults to take care of them, Adam and Eve wouldn't have been the 1st people to have been created by God then. So in essence he knew why he created them in adult form.

do you really think it took just a week to create the entire world? now dont get me wrong i am a christain, im just not a fundamentalist, i see the seven day as representation of the real time it took because it would take far too long and too much paper to write down the whole process, in the same way what would be the point of writing about the whole of there lives. The story of adam and eves only portray what is important.

The Creation Story is mythology (sorry Biblical Literalists).
Mythology, for the record, is not necessarily something fake or false or untrue or made up. Mythology, by definition, is a story that is told to unpack a greater truth about the world.
Did God create the world in 7 24-hour days? Who was Cain's wife? Why didn't Adam and Eve have a childhood? I think the REAL question we need to ask is:
"Would any of these answers change the message of Truth of the Gospel?"

Um, I'd think it would be pretty impossible for a mother to give birth to a full-grown adult. Don't you?
Actually, I suppose Adam and Eve were childlike in the Garden of Eden, since they didn't have any knowledge of good or evil. Also, if they were children, who would have raised them? I know you're thinking God. But Genesis clearly says that God walked with Adam in the cool of the day...not all day long.

Adam and Eve were not physically Born. Their body's were created. As for the answers that "The Bible is fictional" you have a lot to worry about when you are proven wrong.end your misery and believe. what do you loose?

Adam & Eve was created by God without the sex act, & since then everyone came by the way of a sexual act, except Jesus Christ. It will be awlful for a woman to have a 130 lb. baby.

In my opinion, we're all in the Garden of Eden prior to birth. We all have a mate (shared by a rib) and it's when we eat of the apple that we're brought into this world. So, we're all childreen without knowledge in the Garden of Eden before we're born (or we're a twinkle in the eyes of our dad).

The Garden of Eden offers a life that is comfortable and rish free. Yet Eve rejects the stultifuying monotony of her perfect, paradisiacal life. As she gazes at the forbidden treee of knowledge, she seems to ask, "What good is life without wisdom that arises from experience?" Passing by the tree of life, she might muse, "of what use is immortality without knowledge or growth?" Eve wrestles with humanity's first moral dilemma and takes the first moral action recorded in the Bible when she crosses the limit set by the all-knowing God.

Eve and Adam leave their father's protective abode, as children must. God knows it is time for them to face life as adults in an imperfect world. The heartbroken parent appoints a guard at the garden's gate to prevent Eve and Adam from regressing to a childhood devoid of adult responsibilities but also to prevent himself from softening and allowing them to return.

The reader sees Eve and Adam leaving the Garden of Eden full of optimism. They are not at all the tearful, dejected couple portrayed in Renaissance art, expelled by a furious father. The first thing they do is make love and creat new life. What a better is there to teach us about pleasure and responsibility, behavior and consequences, than through the knowledge that the fleeting gratification of lovemaking produces a child with whom parents share a lifelong bond?

Because they started the human race by marriage and child birth etc. There had to be a self sustaining system of reproduction. Not all human beings could be prophets and be created directly by GOD.
