It is all situational when you are talking about poker, but these are the things you must ask yourself when playing a hand of no-limit poker the rest of your life. Am i in good position?, How big are my chips and how big are my opponents chips?, am i in the blind are loose opponents in the blind?, can i bluff my opponents or will the defend?, how many others are in the hand?, is it the start or the end of the tournament. Are my opponents likely to bluff me after the flop?. You have to know how others play and they think you play. There are three levels of thought in poker, #1 what do i have,#2 what do my opponents have,#3 what do my opponents think i have. Play tight and go from there. For example if i had a-j and i was first to act i 80% of the time fold the hand, but if i was on the button and no one was in the pot i will 90% of the time raise, or if i was on the button and a tight early position player raised and someone else re-raised i will lay it down 100% of the time. good luck ...

There are some good articles on this free site.

I suggest you sign up with one of the poker sites and play for play money. This service is offered for free and with no obligation for all the major sites.

I also suggest you take a look at the book section on the site I showed you and purchase some books and read them.

The main tips I can give you is read a lot of books, and practice playing a lot.
