Some mothers wants to show their daughters how to dress up. Some mothers Even start feeling jealous when their daughters grow up and looking attractive. They try their best to be more attractive than their daughters. Most women do not accept their age and try to hide their age by wearing dress that actually shows out the things that need to be hidden. It is a kind of socio-psychological problem of ageing of women.

Acting and dressing up are 2 different things. I'm a mother of a teenage daughter, I don't act her age, however, i dress the way I like and doesn't mean I have to dress like an oldie. I'm still 2 young for that. In fact, i don't think i'll ever will.

You are wrong actually daughters dress up like mothers as they grow & attain adulthood, mothers are already wearing such dresses & daughters in order to show they have grown up start wearing dresses like their mother. I know this because my wife used to dress up according to latest fashion trends & when my daughter grew up into a young lady she started wearing those very dresses which my wife was wearing. Now she is married & I find both still following the latest fashion trends, so ladies always want to look young & beautiful which is not at all wrong!!!!!

not all mothers do that. if they r comfortable to wear then why not.mothers don't compare with daughters rather daughters compare themselves with their mothers. from childhood they see how the mother dresses and try to follow it up.mothers might compare with her own friends and try to wear accordingly in my opinion. whatever the reason if mothers r over doing it trying to be half their age its pathetic.

Had one of those! She just wants attention. She is really jealous of her own daughter. If the mother doesn't have an attentive husband she gets jealous when her daughter starts having dates and receiving compliments, she sort of goes in competition with her own daughter. Believe me my sister and I both lived through it, she's just self centered.

They still want to be thought of as young and attractive. Also, maybe they want their daughters to like how they dress and think that they're fashionable.

Every time I see this I just think how pathetic it is. Moms going into Abercrombie and American Eagle and trying to squeeze into low-rider jeans that are too tight and give them a muffin top. Ugh. Age with class!

They have a right to feel good about themselves too. Who says wearing short skirts and the like is just for young people.
