Can you be too in love with someone? Or is it obsession?

Well obsession is often one sided, always one sided! Being too in love is almost like we're surprised that someone actually loves us back and you want to love them twice over for it.

I don't dare put any definition on love because it is impossible. I think what we should aim for is a love and relationship that brings us harmony and balance, but first we need to feel that way about ourself so that we choose the right type of person to "fall in love" with.

I think you can love many people, and we all have loved more than one in our life. But why do we choose to remain with who we do? It's because they fill a need in us.

I think if you can raise your children to be well balance and self confident and kind and generous, etc. etc. that is the type of qualities that they will seek in others too.

I think when we are a little jaded by our upbringing we tend to settle for loves that perhaps are maybe just gratitude....or we long for someone who lavished some attention on us and now we find them irrestible and fantasize and obsess over them...I guess what I am saying is WHY we love someone is really what determines the question you asked.

If you can ask yourself why you are so in love, what does that person have that makes it so, or why you want that person so bad you are obsessing over them, you will find it's because you maybe want to be like them, and in being with them you are. Chances are you won't find them nearly as enthralling and will even put up with abuse not to lose them.

So let it all stem from a good place. You be in a good place and it will all work out.

I don't think there's a such thing as being too in love with someone. When you are in love with someone, naturally you WILL think of them constantly.
The difference between love and obsession is that love is positive and obsession is negative. Love is humble and caring, patient, kind and puts the other persons interest first even if you disagree with it. Love can sometimes make you a fool.
Obsession is selfish and can be very destructive. It causes you to put your own need first and not care about the other persons need or interest.
Love alone is powerful and unbreakable so there can never be too much of it. But obsession is breakable and eventually does go away.

I don't think there is such as being too in love with someone as long as the other person is in love with you too. If it is not a mutual feeling then if the obsession rules your every thought then that may be considered stalking. Just be careful.

You could be obsessive if you can't go about your daily life and routine . Thinking about someone from time to time is fine, but if you're fixated on who are they seeing, what are they doing, etc, etc while you're not with them, you're obsessed. There is a fine line between loving someone and being a stalker...tread carefully.
