I am looking for names that do NOT have any suffixes like: deep, preet, inder, pal and do NOT have any prefix like har. I'm looking for something original that sounds good in English as well as in Punjabi. I've always hated people mispronouncing my name but I soon got tired of always correcting people.

I've just thought about it and you are right. People tend to shorten others' names to one or two syllables that sound similar to American names.

Just pick a name that has 1 or 2 sylables, and doesn't have sounds that Americans have trouble pronouncing.
