Weight gaining bars and shakes are full of fat and corn syrup even though they don't appear to be greasy. They really aren't great for you.
Just offer him a lot of healthy calorie dense foods such as meat, dairy, carbs, beans, etc. Don't forget milk shakes! But it isn't the time to throw all good sense nutrition out the window either.

you dont want him to gain the weight back fast. Slowly is healthier than gaining weight fast. Just focus on giving him the things he needs like fruit and vegetables so he gets the vitamins he needs I wouldnt worry about feeding him fast food all of the time give him healthy foods.

I think you probably want to ensure that your son is getting a good balanced supply of all needed nutrients and not just calories. You may want to try a toddler beverage that has all the vitamins and minerals and also protein and the right balance of fats and energy. I've tried Pediasure and most recently Baby's Only Organic toddler formula. I like the organic aspect and my toddler likes it. I use it in place of milk. Hope this helps!

Don't stress about that. He'll gain the weight back. Just feed him healthy food and keep the little guy getting healthy. Don't worry about what the scale says. It's more important that he's getting a variety of healthy food and growing. He'll catch up.

No hes doing best! My niece weighed 27lbs at 10months (and seriously the kid used to be breastfed and hardily ate table meals. Shes consistently been massive!) and now shes 18 months and still 27lbs. Shes stil chubby!! LOL. Babies slow down allot in their weigh gain when they get slightly older. I wouldn't worry. 15 month old infants are so energetic i'm surprised they don't forget to consume at all!

No hes doing tremendous! My niece weighed 27lbs at 10months (and heavily the newborn change into breastfed and hardily ate table nutrition. Shes always been huge!) and now shes 18 months and nevertheless 27lbs. Shes stil obese!! LOL. toddlers decelerate allot of their weigh income even as they get somewhat older. i does no longer hassle. 15 month previous toddlers are so energetic i'm shocked they be particular to eat in any respect!

Both of my daughters were in the 25th percentile for weight at ages 12 months. So their pediatrician recommended fattening them up by putting butter on their food and giving them dipping sauces for everything. We fed/feed them toast w/ butter AND peanut butter. Ranch dressing w/ everything!! My now 2 yr old is in the 75th percentile for weight and my 14 month old we are still working on, we'll see next month at her 15 month check up. lol

Does he drink plenty of whole milk? When one of my boys was that age the dr. said he wasn't getting enough milk. (he'd rather have had anything else) because i nursed him until he was 15 months old and he wasn't used to cows milk. I didn't offer him anything else in his sippy and he gained almost 10 pounds -fast.

I had the same situation happen to my child. My dr. said to put butter on everything as well as feed him fatty stuff for snack times. He would still get good nutrition during meal times but for snacks I fed him stuff like cheesey's, ritz crackers, pretzel sticks etc. and of course homoginized milk. It worked great!!!
