Aye - this time of year, you could do Istanbul for under five hundred quid - and that's with a decent hotel thrown in as well!
But seriously...that's what happens when a make of foodstuffs are under the observant eye of the press...the supermarkets want to get rid - and they presume the poorest will dash for it - a bit like supermarkets on council estates years ago. The ones that would drop the usual expensive meats, bread etc to get the lower classes buying it - and buy they would...otherwise the supermarkets would have to throw away.

Nice one ddyk...also hinted at the slight mistake - but got a thumbs down. There's more than one loser on this one...the dear who has given 99% of answerers a thumbs down for a start!

Because they're made of recovered meat - the scrapings off the bones and eyelids and beaks, then reconstituted into a burger shaped thing. Yum.

Don't worry there will be another food scare happening soon and everyone will have forgotten about bird flu just like they have about BSE and Salmonella in eggs!

I noticed that too. Just bought dozens going cheap in ASDA. I'll keep em in the cupboard under the stairs, they'll last for months, eh?
