No, but I remember back in 4th grade, a friend of mine opened a Chewy bar and white worms started crawling out of it.

It looks like a simple case of food getting to old, or left out of fridge to long. Cat food (or dog food) is no different than human food we keep too long. I guess we just chauk it up to expierence, throw out the infected food, and try not to repeat the mistake. The white worms could be maggots . Sometimes insects get a chance to lay eggs in unprotected foods at the canning company. This produces larva. Time for some fresh food.

The white worms did not come from the cat food - they came from the environment. Every kind of fod that you keep out too long will go bad, don't you know?

No uck! Though once someone handed me a bag of potato chips, and I grabbed a up a handful, as well as a few black ants. I clean the cat food dish twice a day.

Those are maggots, fly eggs. common in warm weather or environment where food left out or garbage left too long. Flies lay eggs which turn into maggots. Yuck

Why would you leave cat food out that long? Would you eat food that's been sitting out?

No but that means it went bad and that is why the worms were eating it.
