Did he vomit before breakfast? Some dogs will vomit bile/foamy stuff when their tummys are too empty.Try feeding a mini meal before bedtime. What you describe sounds nothing like rabies. If the vomiting continues let a vet have a look.

That is normally not a problem. When allowed outside dogs will eat grass and puke that up along with the foamy stuff to clean the gut. Mother Nature has taught them to do a lot of things to help themselves.
He is now about 12 weeks old and I assume he has been to vet for checkup, deworming and puppy shots?? If that is correct then this should not indicate a real problem.
If he were to continue to vomit, food/fluids, and acting sickly then call your vet, of course. A isolated vomiting like this should be ok. Not rabies! Might have chewed and eaten something shouldn't.
Just keep a close eye in case situation continues.

"Foam" in the vomit usually indicates that there's a lot of air and mucus in the mixture. (Bile is yellow; blood is red.) It may indicate that he ingested something that caught in his throat, and he tried so hard to dislodge the object that he made himself vomit.
If this is an isolated occurance, it's not rabies or anything else you need to be concerned about. If it continues, you'll need to get your dog to a vet to get him checked out.
Rabid animals don't vomit foam -- they foam and drool from the mouth in an uncontrolable fashion. You can vaccinate your dog against getting rabies, but once an animal is already rabid, there is no cure for it; the animal has to be destroyed.

The whole rabies foam thing is kinda hoaxy. However, if there has been any reason to think your dog was bitten by a stray or wild animal that was carrying rabies, get him to a vet. Otherwise, he probably just has an upset stomach. Monitor for further vomitting or diarreah, make sure he's at least drinking, his appetite may lessen. If you think it's getting worse, take him to the vet.

He doesn't have rabies most likely, it's normal for puppies to puke foam especially with a change in diet or exercising after eating. If there was grass in it He definitely doesn't have rabies. If he does have rabies there's a slight chance he can be treated with a series of rabies vaccination shots. Good Luck!!!

I doubt your dog has rabies. If he had rabies, he would be aggressive and foaming at the mouth, not throwing up foam. He probably ate something that upset his stomach. If he keeps throwing up then you might want to take him to the vet. Other than that, he should be fine. My boston terrior does this often and he is fine.

Unfortunately, it could be a sign of Parvo. It would be best to get him to a vet and get him checked out. If it is caught in the earliest stages, it can be treated with good success rate.
We had a puppy once with similar symptom, vet kept him for two days and then we had to give him Pedialyte(like they give babies)to keep him from getting dehydrated. We were lucky, the treatment from the vet and what we did, worked.

He probably threw up bile. This is not all that unusual.
If this condition persists, have your dog checked by a vet. Otherwise treat it as an isolated, harmless incident.
By the way, all dogs chuck some bile from time to time.
