I have been suffering from extreme insomnia lately and it's really ruining my life. In attempt to try and overcome it, i tried to come find out where it was coming from. It suddenly occured to me that this time last year i suffered a horrific car accident in which my neck was temporarly damaged.

Now the neck pains have come back and i can't sleep....I was wondering if they could possibly be linked? Is it possible that my trauma has come back to celebrate its anniversary?

Possibly Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

It can come back a week or even decades after the trauma

Trauma can affect in the smallest ways. Maybe you're driving a little more cautiously since your accident. When we we feel safe, tired, or even vulnerable those feelings can bubble to the surface. Insomnia is just one way of the ways it manifesting itself. You're not crazy, just human.
