I would promise you, but I'm sure there are exceptions to every rule, that drinking water upside down works. I tried this the 1st time about 18 years ago or so and it has worked every time. Stand up straight holding the water, bend at the waist, turn the glass so that the top touches your top teeth and pour it til you are drinking it. Some people can't figure out how to do this, but the people I have shown, use this remedy when they have hiccups now too.

I don't know about peanut butter, but somebody told me a long time ago that a teaspoon of vinegar worked. It worked for me, and these days it always works for my husband who seems to get hiccups a lot. That plain white vinegar is kind of harsh and draws your mouth up lol. But Apple Cider Vinegar, or Balsamic Vinegar is what we keep on hand for the "hup-hics" and it hasn't failed us yet.

It might work, but you could also get salmonella from the peanut butter. LOL
