If a child is a very picky eater, will it be beneficial for them to take children's vitamins? well, obviously it will be beneficial, but is it ok if they are taking the vitamins but not really eating actual vegetables or fruits very often? i mean, will the vitamins help to keep the child relativelyy healthy and full of the proper nutrients, or would it better to just try to "shove" the nutritious foods down their throats, so to speak?

Vitamins are good, but you do not get all the nutritional benefits of eating the actual food. For example, your body absorbs a lot more of the calcium from eating a piece of broccoli than from taking a calcium tablet. I would go ahead with the vitamins. But try and get the fruits and veggies down too. Try vegetable soup. Or cheese and broccoli nuggets. Sneak them in.

Yes, it will be beneficial to give your child a vitamin daily. But it is not a meal replacement. My daughter is three and she loves to take her vitamin every day. I just make sure that I offer her fruits and veggie through out the day.

Did you know that for a child to even try different foods, they must be offered 37 times? Bargin with the child, if you eat one bite of your veggies we will stay up late tonight. Something simple. Something I know- if they are old enough have them help you prepare the food-"which do you want to make corn or spinach". Trust me they will want to eat it because they made it. You will not have to bargin too much, after a while your kid will prefer veggies. My kids favorite is brocoli. Believe it or not.

Vitamins should never replace food. They should just be a supplement.
