It sounds like you know what you are doing. It doesn't matter what brand you are using they are all about the same, but using a semi-gloss in the bathroom is a good idea since the bathroom is usually moist and its makes it easier for wiping down the walls. The lighter colors will make your room appear bigger too. Good choice of color.

Semi gloss on walls and high gloss on trim is what I've used for bathroom.....it's easily washable! Any good primer will work. Keep in mind the previous paint (flat or gloss) and get one accordingly. (if rolling paint on walls get a thick roller designed for textured walls).
I love your color choices!
It'll be lovely.

on textured walls, dont use a glossy paint. you can now buy low sheen paint that is scrubbable and water resistant--great for bathrooms. same for the trim; you do not have to use high gloss paint, you can get silk or satin sheen that is every bit as durable as the old high gloss paints are. I agree with the others that Kilz is definitely the best choice for primer.

Satin latex is durable enough to wash often. Washing Satin will actually buff it up after time. The choice is yours as far as semi or high gloss. semi and high will actually dull to a satin look after washing frequently. Use a good primer ( all primers can be tinted for a darker base coat) preferably an anti mold primer like Kilz or Zinnser with a "Stain block sealer". Remember the darker the color the smaller the room looks.

Semi gloss would be nice in a small bathroom, but make sure you have a high moisture resistant paint that is made for bathrooms and kitchens. I recently did my own bathroom and had the great guys at Sherwin Williams direct me to the best paint.

Cheap paint is most assuredly not the same as expensive paint. The amount of coverage you get, the finish upon completion, the resilience, etc, all depend on the quality of paint you use. Inexpensive paints are fine, but they will not give you as good a finished quality as more expensive brands. If you don't care, or are trying to save money, then buy paint at a run of the mill hardware store. If you do care, and can afford it, buy the best from a dedicated paint store. Remember, all the paint companies inflate their prices to make a profit, not just the expensive ones.

I would prime with Kiltz. Use eggshell or semi-gloss on walls and hi-gloss on trim. Home Depot carries Behr paint. It is as good as Sherwin Williams and other more expensive brands.

If the walls are textured, I would use a satin. If the trim is in good shape with no defects, you could use a gloss. Just remember, glosses highlight defects, satins conceal them better. You will only need one can of Kilz to pull it off. Its great stuff.

I think it would seem smaller with a dark colour. What you could do, if you really want the dark colour, is paint the walls brown and the trim white but then paint the ceiling the same colour as the white trim. It would help open up the room a little more. I did the same thing in my bedroom. I wanted the walls a dark maroon colour but I painted the trim and ceiling a light peach colour.
