does he know the woman's name and date of birth? Did she give the child up for adoption? Did the baby pass away or did she have an abortion? Is his name even on the Birth certificate as the father? If not and she adopted the baby out it could be really hard for him to find him/her, because if the adoption was closed then he will not be allowed to have any contact with the minor child. Check with the city the child was supposed to be born in if he does'nt know the child's name and he can find out info there. And get a different investigator. Look up the woman's current address on the net. There are several different investigative service's online, search to find a reputible one. And keep in mind the child may be living a good life now he/she may think someone else is her/his father and a visit from some stranger may just disrupt that lifestyle and a happy welcome he may not get.

Are you sure that the child hasn't had a name change? Try myspace.
