ok everytime i try to open a program, my computer comes up with this windows installer box... and it says "preparing to install" and its really annoying since the program is already installed! and it didnt start doing this until i downloaded zone alarm and then took it off my computer... DOES ANY1 HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS PLLLLLLLLZ??

o yea and i have norton anti virus, spybot and adware, and wenever i use a system restore the same windows box comes up and then it says my computer is unable to do a system restore..(p.s.- i just got a new computer))

When you deinstalled zone alarm it might of took a file that it needed to start right try uninstalling and reinstalling the program should fix the problem.

First of all get yourself a good anti virus like Kaspersky, i would suggest you Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0, and see if you have a virus or other mallware, the program you can find as trial on the official site of kaspersky and if you are pleased and sure you will, go find a key on a torrent site. If your problem persist just reinstall the os, i suppose windows and in 2-3 hours you'll be back on track hoping for seeding :-P

The best thing is system restore... otherwise if it doesn't work, ensure your antivirus is upto date. if not get it updated and then scan for viruses.
Problem persists then defragment then make sure Zone alarm is not in the Add/ Remove programs in the control panel.
Your virtual memory should then be small

if u have windows operating system CD with u then u upgrade the windows this will solve u r problem. I tried this already

use a anti virus program you may have a virus

try downloading zone alarm again see what happens

yeah use a anti-virus thingy or get a new computer and don't download anything anymore.
