You're going to have to spend a good amount of money on Rid or someother lice shampoo. Buy a few bottles and treat EVERYONE who has close contact to your 'cousin'. Then, you're going to have to thoroughly wash all the bedding, stuffed animals, and fabricy things in the house. After doing that it'd be a great idea to bag up those things for about a week to make extra sure the lice is dead. Additionally, spray your cars, couches, chairs, and carpets with the lice killing spray that is available. You can get this stuff at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, most pharmacies, and grocery stores.

It is my experience that lice live only on hair and not necessarily on bedding and stuffed toys. After using drug store products that did now work, we finally used rubbing alcohol. To do this you need to saturate the hair and don't allow the fumes from it to get in the eyes. Use a shower cap or tight fitting plastic bag and fasten it tightly so air does not get the alcohol (it will evaporate quickly). Leave the solution on and head covered tightly for 15 minutes. If this doesn't work the first time, you may safely do it again. My granddaughter, two years old had long curly hair and this solved the problem. Good luck.

Ok... My sisters have had lice more than 20 times from school....

Here's the routine

Remove all bedding and spray mattresses with rid
Stuffed animals in the dryer for 60 min.
Vaccum the carpet and spray with rid
Don't even bother with their shampoo... It sucks.
If you have good eyes, or know someone who does, Put a shower cap or a plastic bag over your hair and comb through the hair MATICULOUSLY with a lice comb... Pick out any nits or eggs and squish them with something. Lice will be darker in color and eggs are white and they stick to the hair.
Put mayo in the child's hair OVERNIGHT...
Make sure all clothing has been washed and dried (in the dryer on HIGH heat for at least 60m)

We are talking couches, toys EVERYTHING must be sprayed and put in bags or outside. Brushes can be put in a solution of bleach and water for a couple of hours... Make sure they get rinsed after....

There isn't a simple way of getting rid of lice... Make sure that you find the source (school, bus, whatever) and keep the child away. Also make sure the child's mom is checked... It would be silly to find out that she has it and have to do the process all over again. (infected items must be left in trash bag for a month.)

there are two cheaper and effective ways to get rid of this.
1) puchase some dog shampoo that states on label that it kills lice. After you have shampooed, saturate your hair with baby oil and then use the nit comb to comb through you hair and get the nits and dead lice. Then use a bar of soap or dish washing liquid to get the baby oil out.
2) Find a store that sells tea tree oil and mix a strong amount in any shampoo and wash. Then take a solution of tea tree oil mixed with water and spray all your furniture and beds. if you use the tea tree oil in your shampoo on a regular basis, it is
healthy for your hair and it also keeps the lice away.

ok well first off, you need to put all your stuffed animals and hair ties, ect. in the freezer or out where it's cold enough to freeze all the lice off. then wash all your pillow cases and sheets. vacuum your house! ok find the best lice killing shampoo out there. once you have washed your hair with it, there is probably a tiny comb in the box, you need to comb through all of your hair. not all at once, in VERY little sections. that gets rid of the eggs because the shampoo doesnt kill the eggs. that took about three hours for me. after like a week or so use this one stuff that makes the eggs loser to come out, because you might not get them all out the first time. then just do that for about three days. you should be all good after that. just check every now and then to make sure.

You need to put all stuffed animals in the dryer and use a hair dryer on your hair. If you haven't already use the rix meds and all that you need to. my parents after they put the stuffed animals in the dryer put them in plastic bags until we new that the lice was gone. good luck and i hope this helped.
