Hey dude,
I am the same height as you and used to weigh 59 kg in december. Now in Feb i weigh 70kg. Everyone says i look better. Be prepared to have to buy loads of new clothes man!!
this is what i did and this is what i suggest...
Week 1: Set out plan i.e. what you want to achieve, when how and other logistics e.g. money, time etc. STUDY well hard. www.bodybuilding.com would be a good place to start. Buy Muscle and Fitness magazine. You do NOT want to put on fat. You want to put on good quality mass i.e. muscle with a little fat.
Week 2: Continue to STUDY. Go on www.affordablesupplements.co.uk and buy good quality Whey protein. I suggest Reflex Instant Whey. You will NEED to increase PROTEIN levels. Weigh yourself. Buy a diary and write in neccessities.
Week 3: Whey should have arrived. Take 3 helpings a day and increase general PROTEIN via fish, red and white meats. Buy Omega oils good for vitamins and fish oils very important. Fruit and veg too. Peanut butter. OATS!! Complex carbs very important. If you message me i can give you what the ratio should be.
Week 3b: Get to gym. With all the studying you should have a better idea of what you need to do. Warm up on cardio for 5-10 mins NO more or you will lose gains. Stretch for 20 mins V.Important because you are soon to lift heavy weight. Do 10-15 mins light weight work concentrating on your core. Crunches, reverse crunches, rotation on a exercise ball, roman chair. Press ups. Get used to machinery. I suggest resistance weight machines first.
Week 4: Plan 6 weekly regime. This worked for me:
12 reps 3 sets. Doing an exercise 3 times on increasingly heavier weights. Rest should be until you got your breath back. don't time it. This is annoying and doesn't help cardio.
3 times a week no more. This gives you rest. you don't grow in the gym. you grow when you REST. 8 hours at least a night.
Week 4b: You probably have not put on any weight yet but you are CONDITIONING and should notice a slight muscular look. Now start eating 5 meals a day non-gym days and six gym days. Always eat after workout. Take WHEY 30 mins before. If you dont do this your body will utilise your muscle gains!!! The easiest but NOT best way to do this is CNP INSTANT MASS so you eat 3 full meals, plus fruit snacks and 3 drinks or 3 meals with snacks and two shakes. You need to aim for 2500-3000 calories per day. Increase slowly as you, like I did, will feel very full in the begining. You need to work out properly now or you will get fat.
Week 7: Should be seeing gains in muscle mass. If not add 250 calories per day and if gaining too much fat reduce calories.
Week 9: Start free weights. you should be toned by now and bulking (a phase of adding mass) and ready to hit the free weights. I suggest two key compound exercises bench press and squats, these could be incorporated fully in week 10 when you change regime.
Week 10: Mix it up. Get rid of what isnt working and add in things you want to try. After a further six weeks...
Week 16: Lower reps to 10 and do 4 sets. This will increase size and strength in a safe way because you have had some practice.
Maybe add some creatine.
Anyhow i hope this helps. I achieved greater gains in a shorter while because i had been toning for 2 years. Note to you that it isnt cheap. It cost me £70 a month to eat supplements and additional solid food. But you cant get bigger unless you eat big.
I train 3 times a week for 1 hour 15 mins each time. I don't do heavy weights for long but i do it properly. Form is everything. Maybe go with a friend. I now teach two of mine!!!
Anyhow if you need anymore help or want more specifics, i can send you a pic... message me.... dont worry too much i weighed the same as you at 18 and i am now 20. i got before and after pics. Photo yourself too to keep record. Keep your chin up, be encouraged and STUDY STUDY then go for it.
You can then go onto cutting... mail me about it after you hit the weight you want about this

You are a teenager. Many teenagers are thin, but they put on weight automatically as they grow older. This is because teenagers have a very high metabolic rate and burn calories fast. So you should not try to put on weight by eating fatty food, since it will be difficult to lose this fat later. Check this out for more information http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html

it has to do with your body's metabloism, and genetics you inherit from your parents play a part in it too. Also, your bone structure affects it a little bit. But even thin people should eat healthy, and keep in mind EVERYONES metabolism slows when you get older, so bad eating habits now could catch up with you then !

There's a simple answer to that. Just eat lots of fatning food and lots of sugar and you will gain weight in NO time. Or you can take special pills they have at the store that help you gain weight. Talk to you doctor too. Hope I helped a little. Vote me as best answer if i did.

You may have a problem with the hormone called thyroid, it controls how much fat is extracted from your food and how much is stored etc.
Maybe go to the doctor and take a few tests, I have a friend just like you she eats lots and although she's REALLY thin she's healthy cos so eat enough.

Maybe you're just genetically prone to being thin. Or just have a super fast metabolism, get your thyroid checked out to see if thats causing your metabolism to be to fast. If not, eat larger portions and indulge in unhealthy foods more often
