I am in a wheelchair so, obviously, I use my hands to to push my chair. Because of this I have developed horrible calluses on my hands. What is the best way to get rid of them? And what's a really good moisturizer for my dry hands?

i do gymnastics so i have major calluses all over my hands. My coach says to take a tea bag and put it in hot water, then put it on your hand. then get vaseline or maybe a little bit of olive oil and put it on your hands. Neutrogena hand cream (concentrated) is pretty good. But im going to tell you now, the only way to get rid of calluses is over time. Your hand will heal eventually if you are gentle with them. have you considered wearing a sturdy glove or something to protect your hands?

I would start with buffing you calluses down. Then use petroleum jelly until your hands soften. To keep them from becoming callused again I would suggest you buy a pair of biking gloves. They have the fingers cut out so you can use your fingers, and have padded palms. You can sometimes find them in cute colors. If you want to match your outfits.

Use lotion w. Vit. E and/ or finger nail files. Go to a nearest pharmacy and get a file, dont get a cheap one.

i have psorisis really bad in the winter so the vitamin E (i use "Personal Care Vitmamin e skin cream"; white and pink 8oz bottle from Dollar General) works perfect on ne kind of skin whether its EXTREMLY dried up to calluses and those thick fingernail files helps keep them down.

hope this works for ya:)
