Kingdoms, Empires, Sultanates, Religions, etc., come and go, people remain!
Thus, refurbishing, reconstructing, preserving ancestors' relics is important to us and the new generations; it builds up the pride, knowledge, unity, ....

Perhaps you could be more specific because it is true that historic places cannot be rebuild.Do you have an example to make,say an ancient greek temple that was demolished and rebuild or a famous mosque?But I really don't think that could happen.

well, historic places cannot be rebuild, they might only be repaired. if they were rebuild, then their name wouldnt be historic :))
