Everyone is in way too much of a hurry in todays day and age. It's easier to drive up and grab your food, and off you go, eating in the car. No one wants to take the time to make a healthy lunch to take to work with them. Case in point - me. I'm guilty but am trying to break the habit. It's working but it's hard to do. Silly isn't it? One day I actually went without lunch because I didn't have the time to make lunch and would not stop at McDonalds.

Baby boomers.
When burger joints and pizza parlours began take out and drive in service in the 50's, they were considered a treat by our parents. KFC was allowed only on our birthdays and a pizza was purchased only on the rarest of occasions. But the salt and the fat increased the taste and we were yearning for more!
When we left home in the mid 60's to early 80's, we were free to buy all we wanted and the fast food industry exploded! And we darn well weren't going to deprive our children of these wondrous tastes like our parents did to us!
However, the reports are confirming what our eyes have seen for years~ our kids are obese and unhealthy and the trend toward healthier food is underway in the fast food market. I've actually seen a McDonald's restaurant close down.......

Because people are too lazy/don't have enough time to cook their own meals.

Thats why you always see fat people at fast food places.. They are too lazy to cook a good healthy meal at home so they go to a fast food place and sit on their a.ss and eat a greasy disgusting burger.

Just cooking alone burns calories and a little steam might help you sweat away a few pounds! At least if you are going to eat fast food you could skip driving and just walk. Set a good example for your kids!

no fussing

sweet salty greasy food.....................yum

if you shop around a little you will see that for the same price and taking just a bit longer, the food is better for you AND it tastes better

I went to bar for lunch today, $2 cheeseburgers all month, yum............subsidized by the 2 Guinness I guess.

Anyway, good food, fresh warm juicy cheeseburgers dripping, yum ! With lots of catsup too.

our bodies are attracted to this, and it forms a kind of chemical addiction to it.

i rarely eat it, due to being a vegetarian, but sometimes on the road it is easy.
