I have established (with evidence) that I have an extreemly low metabolism.
Doctors say my thyroid is fine (with thier blood tests which I know do not always reveal the truth in this matter).
Having established this beyond doubt, and knowing that I eat little and exercise at the gym at least 4 - 5 times a week (please note here, I use both CARDIO and WEIGHTS already), I am seeking other reasons for low metabolism, and OTHER ways to increase it. Please note I know this is fat and not muscle, trainers and doctors agree with me on this at least.
I am looking for genuine answers, please do not suggest things I already do which are:
Eat 6 small meals a day.
Do Cardio
Do Weights
Take measurements.

I am looking for NEW ideas, not a repeat of what I already do. I seriously intend to find out more than I already know and am asking for real new ideas and research.

Please read above carefuly to ensure you don't tell me what I already know.
I really appreciate new answers.
Thanks

Kimmer - I am not being rude, I am trying to find new ideas. I do not want people to waste thier time telling me what I already know. I am looking for new research.
I do have evidence which doctors agree with and I will not go into that here, that is another discussion.
I am simply looking for new research to aid me in finding out different causes for low metabolism and new ways in which to improve it.
If you do not like how I phrase my question, you are not obliged to reply.

If anyone else thinks I am being rude, then I assure you that is not my intention. I am looking for serious answers.
Thank you for all your comments.

Your body is a machine that self adjusts to give you the most efficient metabolism possible with your diet and activity level.

To increase your system metabolism you need to do really hard and non-repetitive exercise.

Lifting heavy weights and constantly changing the way you lift them is one way to do this.

Dancing is another, as long as the dance is constantly changing and is fast enough and long enough to work your body really hard.

The key factors are working your muscles really hard and constantly changing the way you are working them.

Mountain biking can work in a limited fashion, anything that works muscles hard and constantly changes the way you work them.

circuit weights and cardio can be very repetitive exercises that your system will adapt to. You need to do things that your system cannot adapt to.

And change up your diet so that your system can't adapt. Consistency is really bad for increasing metabolism.

Sometimes it may just be genetics that are linked with an extremely low metabolism. What you could try, is maybe that when you're doing cardio its not enough or maybe your core body temperature isn't being raised hig enough to be effective? Try doing cario for a longer period of time and wearing heavier clothing (ofcourse drink alot). That will definately raise your core temperature and make you sweat more forcing your metabolism to kick into gear.

Good luck

I would try quitting sugar and carbs, bread, beer, pasta, rice, etc., that way your body will burn the fat you already have instead of the carbs you're eating every day which are more readily available. that's my understanding of how that works and I know several people who dropped a lot of weight quickly doing that without any exercise.
