I've used Garnier products for a long time, but as my (true) hair color has gotten more gray, it seems like it doesn't last very long and makes my medium brown hair look light and brassy after only a couple of weeks.

ColorSync is a wonderful product that covers gray. It will not fade brassy. It is a Demi Permanent Color, which will cover and color the hair without damaging it.

ok I am not sure I understand but I will give you a couple solutons. If it is a shampoo by garnier that you are using, then you need to buy a more expensive one that is for color treated hair. If it is garnier hair color that you are using then you need to have it dont by a professional because the hair color they sell in the market is not as strong as in the hair salon. Plus gray is the hardest color that you can cover up. There is something that they can put in your hair before dying it. I forgot what it is called. But what it does is soften the cuticle of your hair strands and it opens it up so that when the dye is applied it will stick inside the hair cuticle and last longer. Gray hair is so resistant and course its sometimes impossible to get ful coverage with color

Permanent hair dyes or coloring is widely used to hide gray hair and also for cosmetic purposes. The hair color remains permanent, till new hair grows out of the hair shaft. Coloring hair can lead to many problems like hair loss and dry hair .More details and information at http://hcr.in/haircolouring.html

I like the new Clairol color for grey hair. It has not faded nearly as quickly as others I have used. to prevent the brassy look I went from "golden" brown to Ash or just natural brown. that kept my hair from going red. one thing, their concept of Light brown is different from mine, my hair is darker than I am used to.

In addition, use Ted Gibson Individual Color conditioner, with your hair color. It's expensive, but completely effective.
