We cannot speak her name, but she exists. She makes herself manifest in physical form only about twice a semester, but we all tremble before the slightest mention of her sacred appellation - for she knows all the answers, she knows all the right people, and she has access to all the money.
She is the (former) chair of our department.

Well I wouldn't really called them Gods, they are more like land-spirits.
