I like the idea, and maybe for the 'grand finale' he can do something with white doves... that's kinda wedding-ish..

your magician would be able to put on a magic show for the whole family, thus adding another dimension to the event.magician spoken to many brides and grooms after their wedding day who said that they wish they had spent more time and money on the wedding day entertainment after they too encountered the "dead" periods. Most wedding days will often have a "dead" period between the end of the meal and the evening reception. This is when a magician and children's entertainer can fill this time gap.

Magicians can be entertaining... but is this really what you want on your wedding day? I don't think you need to worry about entertaining your guests, the dinner/dancing/drinks should be entertainment enough. Besides, do you really want all the attention at your wedding going to some stranger who is going table to table? I think you should save that bit of money and spend it on something else related to the wedding. Good luck and congrats!

I dont knowif fI would have the magician during the reception, or in between courses, you really do want one there, perhaps during the cocktail hour before the reception starts as you are having your pictures taken?

I'd say no, magicians are creepy, you don't want to make your guests unconmfortable. I think a violin player or duet table to table would be better

I think it could be cute, depending on what type of crowd - fun loving type of crowd. As long as it's not a formal wedding, it should go over nice. A magician wouldn't be appropriate with Black Tie.

Personally, I won't. I want my wedding to be a classy adult affair, not a child's birthday party. Adults are mature enough to entertain themselves between courses.

I think that it's your wedding and ify ou want a magician you should have one. BUT, remember all the OTHER people that will be there (you know, family and friends?) and how they'll react. They might think it's great and they might think it's wildly inappropriate. You know these people best, think about how they'll take it.

Unless you are getting Chris Angel, I would agree with the others, a little bit un-marital; somewhat leaning towards childish.
