Yeah its pretty easy first of all release the pressure by taking off the coolant pressure cap of the coolant bottle. then if you can remove the splash shield from underneath the radiator you will need a 10mm socket/ratchet or spanner this will make it easier to get to either the drain plug or the bottom hose it all depends on what model you have of the 99 mondeo. if you have a drain plug its located either on the right or left side of the radiator the best tool for you to take the plug off is a 2p coin... If you dont i suggest you remove the bottom hose to get the hose off you will need some adjustable pliers/small swan grips to release the clip that holds the hose in place. drain the coolant as soon as thats done i suggest you buy Ford antifreezereason being this will make your waterpump run better than if you bought any other stuff and make a 50/50 mix by that i mean for every litre of antifreeze you put in a container you will need to add a litre of water modeos take about 4-5 litres of the mixture to bleed the system rev the car up to about 3500 rpm and hold it there till the fan kicks in keep an eye on the coolant level and the temp gauge

Yes, its a clip round the bottom hose. Undo and disconnect. Just remember to let the pressure out the system by opening the header tank first.
