ok well heres the thing, my boyfriend just turned 18 and im 16 I looked into all the legal stuff and we are legal. There is nothing illegal about us. But, anyways, my boyfriend and i were talking and the topic of sex came up. He knows i am a virgin and that i want to wait for a long time. But he was honest with me and told me if i wanted to that yes he would have sex with me. I told him i wasnt ready yet but i didnt want to hold him back. He said he loved me and that our relationship is not based on that. He also said he would wait for me for as long as i needed. We have been going out almost 6 months and still he says he will wait for me so my question is, this guy is definately a keeper right? Cuz most guys dont wanna wait. Am i correct?

he is a keeper. i applaud you for not only wanting to wait, but for sticking to your guns. i applaud him for not pressuring you, and for explaining to you that your relationship is not based on that. He both loves and respects you, appreciate that and love him back for that!

well we are in kind of the same situation just that i am 15....well my boyfriend is 18 and we have been together almost 2 years and he has been waiting for me.....theres other things you can do for now u know.....but for sex i think you should wait b/c u never know if he might be doin things on the side with other gurls......waiting is way better and u will thank yourself for waiting.....and since he did say that he loves you he wont have a problem waiting for you.......test him and check if his answer is true if you feel skeptical about his answers ask him the same questions again in 2 weeks see if he gives you the same answers........im waiting and my relationship is great with my man......if you can trust that he is true then wait for the right moment.....so far i think he can be the one but you can never be too sure

The decent ones will wait, the ones that just want to have sex with as many girls as possible, won't. He's definately worth hanging onto for now but still don't be rushed into having sex until you are ready and don't forget to use condoms/rubbers when you are.

He is a keeper as long he meant those words. If he is not the player kind of guy, dont doubt his words. Sex is to be kept pure till marriage. Dont give in. Premarital sex is an abomination to the Lord. If it was meant to be, yall can really wait. You are a lucky girl.

You both are very young. You will change a great deal by the time you are 25. 16 is more the age to make friends, focus on your education and simply learn what it means to be an adult.

(BTW, just because a boy says he's willing to wait doesn't mean that's actually what he thinks.)

Yes girl I think hes a keeper and as for the ones who said that y'all too young to even think about it I would tell them sex doesn't have an age to it.

Sounds like a good fella... What has happened other than this that has caused you to doubt the relationship though?
