Yes; Erkin Koray, Cem Karaca and Barış Manço are the fathers of the Turkish rock.
Şebnem Ferah, Kıraç and Murat Göğebakan are good now.

I don't really like rock music.
But if you mean "in general" turkish pop music, I would say Kenan Dogulu.
Actually Kenan has songs in various styles, soul, funk, jazz, pop, rock, electro mixed with turkish music ( even arabesk style) . He also has obvious influences as singer George Benson, brazilian and latin grooves, spanish flamenco,...
Kenan could be categorized as Turkish Pop-Soul singer.
And although he has made some ridiculous mistakes sometimes ( concerning a few songs), I consider him as a genius, a marvellous composer and song writer. He has a beautiful turkish poetic style in his way of writing the words, and most of foreign people could understand thanks to him how sensual is turkish language. And his voice is really sublime...He's a genious, I admire him...
I also like Levent Yüksel, who sometimes brings some pop-rock in his Sezen Aksu's style music ( he was a former chorist and backgrounf vocalist for her). Levent is a master of bass guitar. And he is especially a great singer, with a very strong voice...

I have to answer this question just to say my opinion.
According to me, rock music ( and hard-rock,punk and stuff like that) are something which is too bad to be sung in turkish.
These kinds of music don't even deserve to be adapted in turkish, because turkish music and turkish language are too beautiful.
I' d rather be on a what said another friend, with soul-funk,jazz and latin music. But no rock,please...

well, firstly, Tarkan is not a rock singer, but, of course, he is the best of Turkiye. He is a pop singer. Among rock singers, Åebnem Ferah is really good. However, my favourites are rock groups like Manga or Mor ve Ãtesi. For the time being, the best rock group is Manga, i think...

They come and they go, but for me it has to be Tarkan. He has international appeal, has stood the test of time, has great looks and records some very good songs. Well I guess he's a pop singer, rather than a rock singer, so I hope he counts?!
