Oh god, I have a worse one than that. Two of our dogs are like best friends, constantly playing and what not. Anyway, we were leaving our house and going to the car for a ride, and they were playing in the backyard. I called them over and they jumped right into my car - after they'd been sprayed by a skunk. The interior of my car never smelled the same. Thank god it only happened once, but that once was enough!

As much as I dislike Pit Bulls I rescued one off the street and let her into my yard. I kept her isolated from my dogs (4) knowing the Pit would attack them. She was a sweet heart, very loving, behaved well and I thought I could find her owners.
Well, on the third day get she got in with my dogs and sure enough she went in attack mode. I am disabled and trying to break up a dog fight was next to impossible for me to do. It was the dead of winter and I tried using a water hose to break up the fight but to no avail. All I could do was grab her by her collar and pull her to the gate. All of us was drenched to the bone and the water didn't bother any of the dogs.
It took me a good 45 minutes to get them all seperated. I called animal control and they were her with in 10 minutes. She was cut up and my dogs were cut up and I had blood all over me.
Animal control was very concerned that the blood on me was a bite but I was not bit. My dogs got the better of the Pit and I swear that the officers were very surprised that I didn't get bit.
I was trying to rescue her and she ended up at the pound cause of her temperament. Pits that are all scared up as she was are used for fighting here in New Mexico. I knew better than to try to rescue her but I can't stand to see a dog roaming the streets.
This is just one of many Pits stories that I have been involved with. I do not like the breed cause of how the US has ruined the breed. And one of the reasons I dislike this breed.
I have had lots of experiences with Pits and I understand their temperament because of my experiences. They just aren't good family dogs any more.

One night we were sitting around watching television. Somewhere, outside in the distance, we heard a faint "yeep, yeep, yeep." Didn't really thing much about it. It slowly got a little louder and a little louder. Next thing you know, we heard it coming around the house, "yeep, yeep, yeep, Yeep, Yeep, Yeep, YEEP, YEEP!!" Soon our little terrier-mutt appeared at the glass-sliding door, yipping his head off. We let him in, and he had two big porcupine quills sticking out of his nose. Blood was everwhere, soon all over the carpet. Poor dog. Dumb dog. Bad dog.

My 3 year old American BUlldog chased down a porcupine and brought him home. He was dead and Tonka's face and head were filled with quills. It took nearly 3 hours to pull them all out.
