My Jack can do a few tricks I've taught her. She can Sit, Lay, Beg (this is hillarious by the way, she looks like a squirrel) and my favorite Roll Over. She sometimes gets too excited about something and keeps rolling over again and again. So funny and cute.

Jacks are very smart dogs and real quick learners. You can teach them just about anything! I love mine. She's like my little baby.

It's hard to troubleshoot when we don't know what you are doing or how you have been training him. Maybe you aren't being consistent with your cues (keep in mind that dogs are going to notice more than the position of your hands; they'll notice how you tilt your head, the expression on your face, the tone of your voice, etc.). Maybe you aren't rewarding him well enough. You might want to get a book on trick training and follow the instructions so that you know you are repeating the exact same steps over and over.

Is that your jrt in the picture??? He looks just like mine! He's sooo cute!

We taught ours to get in his pen. All we have to say is "Pen" and there he goes. : ) He also knows that he is supposed to be in his pen while we are eating (I don't like dogs that beg) so whenever we get food out he goes in his pen without us even telling him to.
