I'm 14 years old, and I'm babysitting a 4 year old girl, two 5 year old girls, and a 5 year old boy. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to occupy them?

Board games would be good for those ages, Memory, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders. You could have them sit in a circle with you and roll a ball around to each other and try to roll it faster and faster. Simon Says, Hide and Seek, Follow the Leader, I Spy, those are all good games with no supplies or game boards needed. Think back a few years to what you like to do when you were their age, that may help with some ideas as well.

I was a preschool teacher, and one of the kids favorite games was called "whos who at the zoo" you sit in a circle with the kids, and act out, sounds and all, different animals. Its a silly fun game that kids love. Something else that is very inexpensive, kids love balloons! just blow up enough for all the kids, plus one, and see how long they can all keep them from touching the ground. They'll do this over and over agian. If you want more ideas, go to Parentsmagazine.com Have fun! = )

If they have a kitchen set, you can play restaurant (even better if they have a cash register). Arts & Crafts are always a big hit - painting, coloring, stamps, cutting, taping, gluing. Legos/building toys are good for a group of kids. My kids also love being read to - and something that's all the babysitter does - read for an hour!

GIve them lots of safe toys to play with. Ask them to draw, paint, or make crafts for their parents. Like, ask them to draw a family picture, animals, their favorite cartoon character, etc...
