When the weather forecast is bad plow personnel frequently sleep over at the plow maintenance facility, have all meals delivered, and work their cellulars a lot. My hybrid TW200B
has previously run most such snow days but I have walked
three hours in worse blizzards to and from same municipal corporation facilities rather than hot-bunk with grizzled crew.
Thank you for asking.

He walks through the thick snow for 20 miles with no shoes on - and lives in a cardboard box in a lake and has to get up at 4:00 a.m. every morning to clean it before he goes to work.

Typically, the state workers are called in early whenever bad weather is approaching. They will be dispatched to various locations and will sit and wait for road conditions to require attention.
