her food stamps/medicaid benefits were taken from her. Her husband and mine are both construction workers, and since there has been snow, they have been out of work. Well we applied for food stamps in early Jan. Her husband was recieving unemployment, and she didn't report it, which she was trying to slide by on a technicality. However, my husband didn't recieve unemployment because we haven't lived in the state long enough. We fine on money because we had a savings, and I filed and recieved my taxes early. However, I just found out that the food stamp money coming into the house hold (we all live in the same home, temporarily) was for me and my family and only ours. She knew this because she made a statement when I questioned the case worker in a letter regarding how I thought the amount we recieved was minimal for a household of 8 people (both of our families-4 in each), and they ruled it as one family for food stamps, that "well the food stamp money is probably just for your

because of our program violation. I guess I am a little put off, because we pay WAY MORE than our share of household expenses, we had a savings, and we are still paying our own way. It isn't that I wouldn't contribute the food stamps until there is work available again for our husbands, but I just don't think that it is something I shouldn't have known about. Am I wrong for feeling like she was being deceptive, and ungrateful for the help we do try to provide?
