depends on the what speaker and amp you have... if you have a 2 ohm speaker and you put in on a brided channel which is 4 ohms then you will get more power but you will probility cook your amp.. feel free to mail me what sub and amp you have and I can tell you the best way to connect it. in the mail subject put yahoo answers for the subject

yes it does. plus chances are you onle have two connections on your speaker. if you bridge the amp it will make more power and enable you to hook up 1 sub to an amp thats is 2 channel. hope this helps. do you have a box for your sub yet? if not may i suggest running a sealed box? that is the way you will get the cleanest sound from it.

500 watt rms if so thats ok but you lower the ohms on the sub

so it will make it 2 ohms also if its 500 watt max dont do it because the amp is to big it will blow the sub

just get another sub same type and put them in and hook it up to the same amp should be good

sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
you can try it, either way, its mainly up to you. if you dont bridge it, you can add another sub. or bridge it to both and split the power, its all in how you want it to sound. www.crutchfield.com will also lead you in the right direction with their customer support
