The age doesn't matter at all. Just be sure that the timing is right.

Hi there. No, it isn't silly, it is human. The first time you do anything important is a big deal, just steps along the path. You may look back and say, whay did i make all that fuss? But that is a different person by then. First kiss, first sex, first baby - all a big deal, especially at the time.
As for when, doesn't matter. It makes the biggest difference if you are at a vulnerable period (young teenage years spring to mind for me!) and it avoids feelings of rejection.

You kiss when the mood takes yourself and your partner and when it feels right - that not something that should really be taught.. merely experienced.
