Be his friend, if thats what you feel he wants now....he can't love anyone else until he loves himself, and being his friend, being there like it sounds like you have been, may make him realize that you are best for him. Let him come to you, this is the difficult part, but it's the only way not to smother him....resolve to only return his calls, and listen to him. Good luck, I hope it works out for you, you sound like a sweet person and if it doesn't, you will find someone else, who really deserves you.

I think if you love him enough, you will wait for him. Don't give him a certain time to decide to be with you or not, just tell him that you'll be there for him whenever he's ready. Don't put more stress on him than he already has. If you are already ready to move on,,,,,,then maybe you don't love him like you think you do. Believe me, when it comes to being second best ,,,,,,,,,I should know what it feels like. You will smother him and he will not like you for that. For some reason guys think that when they don't have a job or any money or something, that we will love them less, and that's just not true. Just be patient with him . It will pay off.

Sorry. This sounds like a pretty tough situation. He may be suffering from depression brought on by his work/school/life load. Could you suggest a counselor for him? Good Luck. :-)=

Slow down. Take a breath. It isn't that urgent. Try to move on and find someone else.

The worst thing to do is try to get him back, and hound him, if he loves you the same way you love him, let him come back to you.
