Hi,
I am a type 1 diabetic and I have been since I was 13 months old. It is something therefore that was not brought upon myself by lack of taking care of myself. I attend school in Savannah, GA and I am wondering if there are any grants for diabetic students? If anyone has any advice or help to offer I would greatly appreciate it.

Ryan

Dude, diabetes does suck, but why do you think you should get a grant? It hasn't stopped you in your life from having a "normal" life. We all have some disability...go out there and earn you scholarship!

Some Lions Clubs offer scholarships to persons with visual problems, hearing loss, and/or diabetes. Your HS guidance counselor should know of those.

I also dont see how being diabetic would be seen as a disability. The only option you might have is going through some diabetic association.
