Atheists know Science exists. You cannot prove or disprove the existance of -anything- without solid proof. I'm sure they don't like me saying this, but that need for logical reasons behind things -IS- Divinity. God is what has put Order to Chaos. If that's Physics, then doesn't that make Physics God? As for Jesus, I myself believe that if he existed (which just because it's written in some old texts that were brought together, doesn't necessarily make it true) he was a good person with good teachings, but not necessarily the Son of God (and so are you, and so are you, and so are you.). (Sorry, Christians, you have your Faith, I have mine.) So no, no one HAS to have that feeling. Sorry.

I don't believe in atheists or theists. To be fair neither group have shown any proof that their beliefs are correct. The atheist cannot answer questions in certainty, that is offering undisputed truth as to "the meaning and creation of life and neither can the theist. I think that they are both living under a fog of suggestion and the need to be a joiner. I would hope that God does exist as that may offer something after I die but I have seen no proof. I certainly don't know for certain that he doesn't exist because I have seen no proof. Why are these clowns always putting each others beliefs down when neither really knows; it is all just a matter of faith in what one "wants" to believe.

Your question is idiotic. Most atheists who believe jesus was a real person understand that the other stuff written about him (I.e., the perfomance of miracles and rising from the dead) is pure BS. I for one don't believe he ever existed in the first place. There are so many similarities between him and other saviour cult figureheads as to suggest he was pasted together from those characters. In some instances the plagiarism is so blatant as to be offensive to those of us who know how to read critically. Also, if someone rose from the dead don't you suppose a Roman historian would have written about it? Show me one example of an instance of someone from that time period writinf about JC in a *non-religious text with an agenda* and then we'll talk.

Please, it's "atheist," not "atheis."
That word describes a person who does not believe in the existence of God. While an atheist may acknowledge that an actual person named Jesus may have existed, that does not mean that the atheist believes that Jesus is God.
Atheists do not believe in God. For an atheist, God does not exist. There is no god to an atheist. God has no real being to an an atheist. Atheists believe that there is no god. If you were an atheist, you would not believe in God.

It doesn't really matter if there is a God or their isn't a God. After your dead what can anyone do to you. Even if you are damned to burn for eternity wouldn't the flames just become home, a place you would actually miss if you had to leave. What I'm saying is you can't be killed twice, even if you believe in reincarnation, you'll just keep bouncing between life and death forever, a big meaningless cycle. The same cycle that is probably being repeated all over the universe, or in countless other dimensions. We are all just waiting on one thing for it all to end.

I am an atheist and I do not believe in any god(s) of any kind. As far as Jesus is concerned, the Jesus of the bible was a creation, a conglomeration of the characteristics of several people of the time. The Jesus described in the bible never existed as a real person.

Firstly, it's spelt atheisT.
Secondly, what's accepted isn't necessarily true. Slavery anyone? And it's not accepted as TRUTH, it's accepted as a belief. And what about other religions? Are you arrogant enough to think that they believe in Jesus as God too?
And that feeling of wanting meaning? Sure. That feeling that there IS actually a God? No.

I'm agnostic and I have no proof of the existence of either deities or humans who were supposed deities. Just because the majority believes something that doesn't necessarily make it correct. To each their own.

what?
you must not speak english... no offense, but that grammer... man!
Of what I can see, you feel that atheists cannot possibly disbelieve god because of a feeling? No. I feel nothing, however my emotional status is on the damaged goods list anyway. As far as a deity... sorry. I disagree with what I interpreted your question as saying...
