We all sin and fall short of what God has for us, you are no different. Sin is addictive, it has a strong hold on us. May I suggest that you pray for Jesus to help you. He can work things out in your life that you can not possibly handle. It sounds to me like you really want to be a good Christian. We are only good by the Blood of Jesus, take your sin to Him and tell Him exactly what you told us. I pray for you that all works out to bring you to where Jesus wants you to be. God Bless and trust in Jesus, your Savior.

not a christian, (jewish) but just athought here - maybe it's not a sin, maybe it's just a part of your christian culture that doesn't happen to work for you. if you've done it for 4 years and no other person has been physically or emotionally hurt, including yourself, maybe you are being to hard on yourself. think about the amish who don't wear makeup or use technology. you can respect that this makes them feel closer to god, even if it isn't the way you chose to express your faith.
however, if what you are doing is hurtful to others, that is what you should focus on when you want to do these things, because then you have a "reason", not just a "rule".
hope that helps!

It is a really hard thing to do. You're trying to change a behavior which is more than challenging. It might be a good idea to find a more acceptable behavior to replace the one you don't like. Just keep at it and you'll find it is easier each day.

There is no sin. It was made up by the Clergy to keep people in line and to enforce their own moral views. God loves you whatever you do.

Scripture says "Allow this mind to be in you which was in YAHOSHUA!" Realize it is His power, but we must consistently choose to accept that power!
