Once they question their faith they have to open their minds to other possibilities and that makes them uncomfortable. They prefer life with blinders.

The truth dispells the false...like light dispelling darkness. They do not fight each other in any way.
As religions fight with each other...it is an indication that they are flawed or errored. However, what is false is soon shown so and falls apart. The fact the religions are still around does show there is some truth in it.
So you have half-truths fighting half-truths...there is no clear, absolute truth or false - otherwise there would be no disagreement or fighting.

I think a lot of people confuse what are essentially political fights with theological ones. Of course the extremists on all sides will use religious dogma to motivate the issue, but I think most people understand that...in the words of different strokes....what might be right for you..might not be right for some.

I think we may be wrong on many issues. Who really knows the heart of God. However, I base my trust on Jesus, because He brings us to a place where we recognize that we are not perfect people but loves us anyway. By faith in Jesus we can be made clean in Spirit and if we fall we can go to Him for our forgiveness and to be renewed. I don't know of any other faith that offers quite what Christ gives to we humans.

as a Christian, I concede that I may be wrong about my beliefs.. I doubt my religion quite often actually.. I don't think that having faith means we believe without doubting.. having faith to me means that I keep believing in spite of my doubts..
anyone who says they never doubt is pretty arrogant and probably not being honest.. even Jesus's disciples had doubts.. for a Christian to say he/she never doubts it's like saying he/she is better than Jesus's disciples..

Nope, it doesn't mean that. It means one of two things:
1) All religions are wrong.
or
2) One of them is right and all the others are wrong.
The only way one can know for sure is to ask God sincerely. Those who truly seek, will find the true church.

But as a christian, if I were to admit that I may be wrong, then I wouldn't have much faith. I am right. I know I'm right. And all I can do is pray for other's to see life how I see it. God has blessed me in so many ways, and has done so much good in my life. He is MY lord, and I will never deny him.
