There is nothing called western culture. Culture is what is developed over centuries. Only India, China, Greece, Egypt etc.can boast of having a culture. By west I presume you mean US. America came into existence only 400 years ago; various peoples the Germans, French, British, Spanish who brought their own cultures and conglomerated as Americans slowly forgetting each independent culture and merging it all into plain simple laws. That is not called culture. Culture is passed down through centuries of trial and testing.

There cannot be any fondness. Each culture has their pros and cons. The best idea would be to take the good of each culture and leave the bad.

I am fond of every culture with good ehtics..
But i do like the freedom of speech & independence given to youth in western culture.. Which sadly lacks in indian culture even having majority of the youth in its population.

I am not fond of the western fast foot, obesity, pressure to get 10 years of post secondary education, high cost of housing, welfare, inability to solve immigration issues, high income, state or property taxes, bi-partisan government, conservative media shows, state of religion, lack of vacation, cold weather, pollution, gas prices, lack of willingness to change, 500W stereos in apartments, and inconsideration for humans, other countries, animals, and the world in general. Yeah, but other than that, it's great.

WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR QUESTION? I'M VERY FOND OF WESTERN CULTURE... SINCE I LIVE IN IT. I CAN'T IMAGINE LIVING ANY OTHER WAY. I FEEL LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN BORN IN THE USA, AND TO BE ABLE TO ESSENTIALLY, BE ME. I WISH THAT EVERYONE WOULD HAVE THAT FREEDOM AND BE ABLE TO CHOOSE THE DIRECTION OF THEIR OWN LIVES. YOU CAN SUCCEED OR YOU CAN FAIL AND THEN SUCCEED, OR JUST NOT TRY AT ALL, TOTALLY UP TO YOU. I LOVE IT AND APPARENTLY SO DO MILLIONS OF OTHERS. YOU?

Traditional western culture yes......however the welfare state, do-gooders, lack of discipline, poor parenting etc is where we seem to be heading.
