I recently got my nose pierced and the soap I have to wash it with, the hot water, and extremely cold weather have severly dried out my skin to the point where it is flaky, tight, and uncomfortable. I need a good moisturizer that isn't overly expensive to put on all areas of my face except the pierced half of my nose.

Try using Mary Kay's time-wise moisturizer. They also have a cleaser for combination/dry skin. The pair will help with dry skin. If it is still dry you may need to use a microdermabrasion to exfoliate your skin. The Microdermabrasion also comes with a replenish moisturizer. The use of a combination of these products will not only give you the result you want, it will improve the health of your skin, your skin will glow, and you will experience a silky smoothness that is out of this world!

Alpha Hydrox makes a 12% glycolic acid solution called a souffle. You apply after washing at night. When it's absorbed I use Aquaphor over it. It gets me thru New England winters without my face showing any wear.

Dermologica products are the best products out there they are great for your skin and they don't leave you looking flaky, or oily. Here is a link to the moisturizer that I use it is excellent.

Pure, natural shea butter. Definitely. It will both nourish and heal your skin. Contrary to the commercial moisturizers that always contain fillers (some of them are even suspected of being toxic), shea butter consists of 100% of active ingredients. Can't beat that.

I have terribly sensitive skin that constantly peels. one day i was in the shower, and washed my face with head and shoulders on accident. my face was no longer dry, been doing it ever since. i think it lays down a thin layer of zinc. just be super careful not to get it in your eyes.

Aveeno is the best face moisturizer. They have different kinds depending on skin type. I use the skin-brightening one, it's really nice.

I have sensitive skin, and yet Loreal's age-defying moisturizer doesn't break me out, and leaves my skin smooth.
(I have flaking problems due to soap and the moisturizer has put an end to that problem.)

My favorite is Lubriderm. You can buy it in small bottles pretty much anywhere. It is light and non-greasy so it won't cause breakouts. But it does it's job wonderfully. Good luck
