He keeps the earth in a giant ziploc bag, filled with dark matter. This dark matter is squishy enough to allow the Earth to keep turning. It is suspended from an elaborate glass apparatus that swings us in a big circle around the "sun".

Actually, the Earth is God's dog's ball. He likes to carry it around, chew on it and play fetch when he can get God to toss it for him.
