I have tendinitis in my right thumb for nearly a year and it's not yet completely healed.

Now I'm having the same pain in my left thumb.

So is it usual to have it in the right as well in the left thumb.

So later on, will my left thumb be as painful as it was for my right one.

I have it in both thumbs and as long as you are doing the same thing that caused the problem, it will never go away. I call mine Nintendonitis, because I got it from playing video games for too long at a time. My record is 36 hours straight.
Anti-inflammatory and refraining from doing anything that makes it hurt are about all you can do. But, if it because of work then living with the pain is about it. My mom gets steroid injections for hers, but they only help for a short time, and you can only get a few a year.
Good luck, I hope you can find some relief.
