Dogs and cats are from two different species. Canine and feline. These two are unable to breed. The same way a human cannot breed with anything that is not human. It is possible, however, for a dog to adopt kittens or for a cat to adopt puppies. Let's say that a litter of kittens lost their mother. There have been times when a dog will act as the mother to those kittens. If it's a female dog (and she recenty gave birth), sometimes she will even nurse them.

No, they are two entirely different species and that is why they cannot breed. Even when two species are close enough genetically to reproduce, the offspring is usually 100% sterile: a horse and a donkey produce a mule which can not reproduce.

No--they're too far apart to breed. Animals have to have very similar DNA to breed--we share 99.9% of our DNA with chimps, and we can't breed. There are some interspecies breedings which have occurred--Horses and donkeys will produce mules, but they're sterile. There have also been recent breedings of lions and tigers, creating ligers, and since wolves and dogs are genetically the same, they can breed, but that's about it.

Breed? Produce offspring, No. Not possible. But I have seen a dog try and have sex with cats. Now I never actually saw him make penetration, but he sure would try. Funniest thing I have ever seen.

No. By definition, one of the things that makes a species different than another species is that they cannot interbreed. Dogs and cats belong to the class mammals, but different orders. One is canine the other feline.

No, that is ridicules.

You should get both your pets spayed/neutered!! There are too many animals that will never find a good home.
