i think i would be able to take care of children and he asked me how many and if i could handle being a single parent.. what is he trying to say?

I don't know, but it's a good question. No woman should have children if she couldn't handle taking care of them alone. Children are a blessing and a privalege that no woman should take part of unless she's willing and happy to do it alone................A man helping is an addition blessing in itself!

The best way to understand what he was saying is to ask him. Sounds like he is trying to get you pregnant and leave you high and dry.
