You have to read this twice, because it's a bit unclear. I think the meaning is that you will find people who agree with you on a subject that you don't think of as being like yourself and may not even like as people. An example could be if you are a liberal but on a particular issue, find that some very conservative people take the same position as you. You may agree on this issue for very different reasons, and you may not want to be lumped with these other people. Politics makes strange bedfellows.

No matter where you are in an argument there will always be people who don't like you and they wish you were on the other side so they can have a reason to hate you or that when the argument was over and their side won then the can say they beat you and get a good laugh out of it.
or... it could mean something completely different, I don't know.

And the supporters of President Obama say "Repukes" are bigots and racist? What he said is simple-the welfare of the country is more important then the political party you belong too and the first loyalty should be to country and not party; something too many members of both political parties should pay attention too but unfortunately for many it is party first and country second. That is just as true of Democrats as it is Republicans but there are some members of both who do place national interest above party-just not enough of them.

No matter what the problem or situation sometimes people who supposed to be on your side are the ones against you! In other words your "friends" can be your worst enemies!!!
Hope that helps! Ciao Chiquiz*08

It means no matter what side of an argument you take, there will be something about it that you disagree with.

Well, what if you agreed with someone about an issue, but the person was a racist (and hopefully you are not). You'd almost rather that the racist disagreed with you about the issue.

There will always be people that 'agree' with you that you would rather not be associated with.
