I got my tattoo done yesterday and a little part came off - kind of like a scab - after I put A&D ointment on it
is this normal?
can it be touched up?

Just don't pick at it.....it's normal for them to scab and flake and some of the flakes will make it seem as if you tat is falling off, but as long as you can see color still in the skin don't freak out too much. Just keep it clean and moist but not too moist. Find that middle ground and remember Don't Pick At It No Matter What!!!!!

just don't pick at it, keep putting ointment on it like they said and don't panic. I would contact your tattoo studio because your tattoo prob didn't scab yet if it's only been less than a day. It's prob not coming off...at this point, it's still an open wound and some ink may leak out but none of the tattoo should have actually "come off"

This does happen - tattoos scab over, and you shouldn't touch them or let anything else, either. It risks pulling the ink out of the scab, and that means blank spaces in the tat.

You can have it touched up after the tattoo heals, but I would suggest getting specific instructions on how to best take care of it.

it is normal for some of the ink to come off with the scabs. If it needs touch up - wait until it is completely healed and you can have it touched up. Do not pick the scabs as that will cause more ink to come off with them.

I have 7 myself. Only use enough antibiotic ointment to keep it moist...just a thin sheen. You don't want a heavy scab, if you have a heavy scab, the artist might have had the depth set too deep on the gun. Heavy scabs cause color fading and scarring. Also, don't expose to UV till completely healed.

The scabs are supposed to come off thats how you know that it is healing. Don't scratch it off though because if you do it could cause the tattoo to get infected.

It should not have "come off." Can you be over reacting a bit. Post a picture. If some of the ink comes out, it can be touched up after it completely heals.

I would be heading to the shop right now to see whats going on.....
