Strangely enough, some churches will deny certain services if you are not a member of that church, which usually require either dues, or what they call "donations" to the church. Even some catholic ones. Used to belong to one.

On top of that, when someone dies, at the church I used to belong to(and my family still does), in order to have them "remembered" at a specific mass, we needed to pay a fee as well. And all they do for that money, is mention the name, at the mass and when everyone prays, they pray for everyone mentioned in a long list of names.

How about that stuff.

What I was alluding to(irish, below me) is that churches DO discriminate for various reasons. One of them, including money. And this question, seemed to me, to be about discrimination. Forgive me if I am wrong.

And the services I was talking about, for example were: talking to a priest for guidance(yes, a priest I know did this), marriages, funerals and what not. Therefore, if you did not belong to the church specifically, even if you are Catholic, they sometimes choose not to do the service. This does happen.

Churches are not always the lovey/accepting places that many christians believe that they are.

Another family priest from our previous parish, refused to marry my aunt and uncle, because she got pregnant before marriage. They were both catholic, both admitted what they did was wrong, and were trying to make it right, through marriage... however, the priest refused to marry them.

From an Orthodox Jewish POV- no. Orthodox Jews will not enter a church. Additionally, Jews are forbidden from attending the services of other religions. Most Rabbis would not have an issue with people coming to learn about Judaism, but any reciprical visit would have to be one where there was no service involved and was in a place not used for the services (like a hall attached to the Church or something similar) If the local synagogue is Reform or Conservative, they may take a more lenient line on this.

Yes, any Catholic Church is open to all to attend. In fact, I don't know of any Christian denomination that bans anyone from attending Mass or Services, with the exception of the Mormons, who most don't consider Christian. The Mormons are very strict about non-Mormons entering some of their temples.

Another answerer (froggy...) indicated that a non-Catholic couldn't obtain certain services from the Catholic Church. But that wasn't your question. To expand onher thought, though, while ANYONE can attend Catholic Mass receiving the Sacrament of the Eucharist is restricted to Catholics. This makes pretty good sense to me, as I dont know why a non-beilever would want to take part in the Eucharist anyway.

Let me tell you something; you had better stay away from the Kennedy Catholic Churches. They never even allowed Sammy Davis Jr. in those sacred facilities.

Prostitutes are blocked from entering. The Catholic Church does not believe in the deed by Jesus when he met the woman at the well.

Strange question.

Anyone may attend Mass- at any Catholic Church anywhere- all are welcome.

Reception of Communion is limited to practicing Catholics in a state of grace.

Why would they not be? There are Arab and African Catholics. I imagine there are prostitutes who are Catholic also.
