I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Xls which is 4X4 but on the switch has Auto too. Should I leave it on Auto as well

2wd will get you the best MPG use auto for when it is snowing or raining and you might need to accelerate quickly on the wet roads. Other wise just leave it in 2wd it also offers less wear and tear on ur Explorer

if you're going faster than 40---keep the 4x4 off. It'll tear up your Explorer.
