You cannot act like you want to see the light, while at the same time keeping your eyes shut, and screaming that there is no such thing as light. As long as you are not willing to open your eyes and look around, quit acting like you are seeking truth.

Hatred of Christ and of Christians and Jews should provide you with enough solid clues to remove your doubts, but then, you've already decided that satan doesn't exist, so how could you see?

How many songs are hate filled against Christ? How many cuss words mention other gods? Buddha damn is not real popular, is it? Most of the world takes the LORD's name in vain- hmm, wonder why?

But don't let facts cloud your thinking, when you have decided that you like your dark, cold, clammy little fantasy world.

Satan only has power because he was able to fool one woman and one man. Satan has challenged God for leadership for a long time but it is said in the book of Job in the Bible that God told Satan that he could not cause a person's death. He was allowed to tempt him, make him sick, make him miserable, take all his wealth but was not allowed to take his life. Christians assume (and yes I know for an atheist this is a stretch) that because God said it one time that it is His general policy regarding Satan's powers. However, as a Christian, I do believe that Satan can get people to do things that eventually end up killing them or someone else....drunk drivers for example.

Also, if you think about it, what would it benefit Satan to kill? He can only hurt God by controlling live people and hurting God and his creation is Satan's only purpose. He knows that he has already lost the war but he insists on continuing to fight the battles.

Satan has been commercialized by organized religion to be the evil of all evils, while completely ignoring the Old Testament where God was a complete dick 95% of the time.

Whereas if he actually did exist he'd probably have some sort of corporate structure in which he never did the dirty work (he'd let his minions do everything) but get all the credit for it.

Plus, the whole point of Satan is the corruptor of souls, to get more guys on his side, not to kill people (but to have the people kill themselves)

All you need to do is look at the answers aimed at Christians where there is so much hatred toward Christians to know that Satan is very obviously at work in this world. Take wars. Do you think a loving God who wants us to live in peace would condone war and killing? Nope - it's Satan. How about alcohol and drug addiction, pornography, prostitution, sexual molestation, rape, using and abusing people, stealing, lying, cheating, hating, conniving, manipulating, torturing, maiming, vandalizing? This is just a partial list. I know you don't believe that Satan exists, but hypothetically, if you did believe he existed, would you honestly think that HE couldn't be responsible for these acts, but rather GOD was responsible? Uh - - NO!

Who says he doesn't "act more obviously" in the world? What is obvious to one person isn't always as obvious to another. Our senses can deceive us. What we see, hear, taste, smell, and touch may not be the same as what another person, sees, hears, tastes, smells, or even touches. How many times have we thought we have seen something, heard something, smelled something, etc. that wasn't there or what we thought it was? One person sees Satan's actions for what they are and how he interacts with this world, another person convinces themselves Satan, and God for that matter, do not exist and attempt to explain his actions in a more natural sense that excludes the possibility of a supernatural realm and its ability to influence anything in our reality.

But please do tell me how you KNOW Satan doesn't exist. The lack of evidence or inability to "scientifically prove" either his or God's existence is not proof any more than as you would argue against it being proof. The "I can't prove God exists nor is there existing proof, therefore He doesn't exist" argument isn't going to work.

When a person is spiritually born again, satan is much more obvious. (Because spiritual eyes are opened.)

He kills people by tempting them to kill or any sin. The wages of sin is death. So, people die early many times because of sin.

When satan or demons possess someone in a drunken blackout & person murders someone, is it the demon or the person who does the murdering?

It is written that the devil is a murderer from the beginning, a slanderer, false accuser, a thief, etc...

I love your disclaimer!
Okay, look - Satan's whole deal from the get-go was that he wanted to be the begotten Son of God - instead of Jesus Christ. In fact, he started a huge war in the last earth age.
Without boring you to death with Christian Bible verses -
basically, he's coming back disguised as Christ, and pretending to be Christ. If he goes on a rampage, killing people, etc. thats gonna blow his entire scheme - everybody will know who he is. He will come in prosperously, and peacefully, just like you would expect Jesus to come. Pretty sneaky, huh??

He allows people to do his work.
The extermination of Jews, Germans, and Russions and others during the 2nd world war.
Abortion, a corruption of human logic, rights that are wrong.
Child abuse programs that are corrupted by half-truths, truths that lie, have you heard of these.
Abuse programs that divide the family.
Deceiving Americans and the US President that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
The devil, is common to all three world religions....and it appears is doing a great job, in creating chaose and destruction in this world.

If you have not heard of 'anti-truths' they prove that the devil did indeed deceive Adam and Eve in the Garden.

Truth can LIe, when it is an anti-truth, we are not God to know The whole Truth.

Read the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis.

This addresses your question wonderfully. It's a small book, shouldn't take you long to read. Try finding it at the library.
